It's official - I'm old

I'm very excited because my roommate from college, Marie, and her husband are coming to visit for the weekend.  Marie lives in Augusta, so we do not see her as often as we would like.  Fischer really loves "Aunt Ree", too! 

While emailing back and forth to arrange plans, I realized how old I'm really becoming... 

1. Neither of us have even mentioned the fact that Friday is New Years Eve.  In college we would have had somewhere to go, or maybe even several places!

2. The only thing I requested is that she bring was her information from her coupon workshop she recently attended. 

3. I'm worried that they might actually want to stay up to watch the ball drop...  =) 


I left out a little detail when I said that Marie and Brandon are coming to visit us!  They are truly coming to visit Miss McKenzie Blake Wright.  I'll take what I can get! :)    So, Saturday the boys are going quail hunting while us girls love on McKenzie and Fischer.  Saturday night we are doing what we do best - eating!

Now, if I can just get my house in order before their arrival.  I'm not sure we can get another toy in our little bitty house.  Next year Santa better bring Mommy and Daddy a new home! :)

Guilty Mama

Well, today I was introduced to a friends blog, and as I read (for hours) about her and her family, I immediately felt guilty.  I'm such a bad mama!!  I haven't kept anyone up to date with sweet (or rotten) Fischer's little life, except by phone or text.  So, here it is... (drum roll) My blog!!!  Please be patient, as I'm unsure where to begin, but I am going to try!
